Exotic Luxury At Sandals

Hey out there in Electronic Land! All I can say is WHEW! I’ve been taken back in time – time as it relates to an earlier part of my life when I was first exposed to the travel world. And what an experience this was.

You see I came to the travel field in 1986 in Denver, CO through a company lovingly known as Ports of Call (POC) Travel CLUB. There were over 25,000 members in the club at one time and I was hired as a Flight Attendant/Tour Director to work on the club’s 13 Boeing 707 aircraft and 3 727’s. When we weren’t doing “club” trips we did charter trips. We landed on island after island and land after land all over the world, Sandals Emerald Bayand our crews were the BEST!

So it was a treat for my mind to step back in time as I climbed aboard a privately chartered SANDALS/BEACHES 737 aircraft to tour properties on 3 different islands in 3 days December 2-4, 2013. The crew was delightful and we all had SO MUCH FUN on the airplane, just like old times, only this time on Flair Air out of Canada.

The first property for travel professionals was the Sandals Emerald Bay property on thsandals1e Great EXUMA, Bahamas. Though a location many POC flight crews had experienced many times, never had I ever been to a Sandals property there. And what an experience it was! SANDALS is Emerald Bay Flying Timea COUPLES ONLY resort. Only the BEACHES brand allows children, so for our first stop we basked in the SANDALS luxurious thoughts of staying there with a spouse or loved one.

Not only is everything included in the Club Package, it is known for EXOTIC LUXURY at its best.

And flying time? Well, only 50 minutes from Miami, ½ hours Golf at Emerald Bayfrom Atlanta, 2 ½ hours from NY and 3 hours from Toronto. As a matter of fact, above is the map that shows it all.

A Greg Norman-Designed Golf Course gracefully blends sand and sea as the aquamarine waters blend with lovely greens while you breath in the salty air. Now that’s the way to play GOLF!

We toured room after room, ate magnificently flavored food of all kinds, basked in the sunshine and only wished for time in the gorgeous Red Lane SPA, typical of all Sandals properties. Next stop the Beaches Resort on Turks and Caicos! Stay tuned!
